About the Facilitator
🌼How many times has a song taken you “back”? To a village, to a grandmother, to a root you didn’t even know you had? Greek traditional and entekhno music are more than melodies—they are memory, spirit, soul. They are the way our people stay connected to the divine and their inner light. Ioanna Dimitrakaki, with the clarity of her voice and intention, bridges ancient melodies with fresh breath. From music stages in Alexandroupolis to international festivals and her tour in Italy with the trio Aerikón, she carries the Greek spirit to every listener, with reverence and joy. She will be with us at Eutopia, to remind us—through song—who we are and where we belong. --- Ioanna Dimitrakaki is a singer specializing in Greek énthekhno and traditional folk music, as well as a kindergarten teacher and music-kinetic educator. Her musical journey began early, discovering her love for music through school ensembles and guitar. She later expanded her training in music theory, keyboard, and vocal performance, while also being an active member of her university's music group. A devoted performer, Ioanna has worked professionally for many years, gracing music stages across Alexandroupolis and participating in festivals in Greece and abroad. She is currently touring Italy as the lead vocalist of Aerikόn, a unique Greek-Italian trio known for its creative experimental reinterpretations of traditional and éntekhno greek songs.

Live Traditional & Entekhno Music
Greek traditional music is not just an aesthetic expression; it is a vessel of spirit and collective memory, reconnecting us with our ancestral roots, nature and the divine. Greek "éntekhno" music continues this sonic legacy, based a lot in traditional musical sounds, blending ancient echoes with modern harmonies and poetic lyrics and expression.
